What a day.....how did I do?

Right,

Mistake number 1: waking up feeling a bit oppressed and scared by the looming 100 goals
Mistake number 2: failure to focus on three goals in particular for the day
Outcome....mixed, but.......let's look at my day

  • Exhausted......got up late and arrived late to work
  • Didn't maintain huge focus at work initially, though did achieve good outcomes....see later
  • Had to fit in gift buying at lunchtime for trip away at the weekend (3 gifts for 3 people and other essentials- didn't waste any cash) and waxing appointment on way home which compressed my day further
  • Had a huge planning deadline looming that cannot be addressed at the weekend as I am away
  • An unexpected meeting was called in the afternoon
  • The photocopier broke down as I was about to leave, delaying me further
  • I had to take work home (3 hours) on top of an evening of needing to do the following: pack and iron for weekend away, make dinner and lunch, do waching, review shopping order for monday in the light of predicted dietary needs, sort out finances, blog re goals
  • A number of crises hit, including a puking dog in need of specialist emergency food given that we are needing to put him in kennels today, a totally freaked washing machine that flooded the whole of the kitchen, a migraine, the further delay of my work, a collapsing screen that nealy killed me and the dogs and a looming family crisis.......crikey
  • Oh, and a grumpy, ratty, tired and stressed husband
  • And killer shoes causing the most painful blisters all day

Outcomes:

  • Although I didn't quite focus on three, I did manage to bring important ones to mind during the day
  • I stopped at Boots and bought good fish oils (goal)
  • I bought cheaper skin products (goal)
  • I resisted impulse buying and came away with nothing for me (goal)
  • I bought Alex three extra and rather lovely unexpected gifts from Monsoon man (goal)
  • I investigated two possible doctoral routes (goal)
  • I costed the botoxing of my eye (goal)
  • I reorganised my finances to allow for potential teeth whitening depending on the cost of forthcoming building work(goal)
  • I met my deadline for work by working late
  • I got packed
  • I tidied up so that the place would be orderly when I returned
  • I got my waxing done (goal)
  • I set up my blog (goal)
  • I reviewed my targets (goal)

All in all quite good.

Things I was off target on:

  • Didn't get up at 6.30 0r get the 7.06.....too tired...poor excuse
  • Ate well all day, museli, goat milk, goat yoghurt, fruit, baked potato, veggie chili, fruit as snacks.....UNTIL dinner when I felt the pressure of everything else I had to do and bought microwave macaroni and extra grated cheese on the way home. I figured my eating plan starts proper on Monday and that something had to give. Perhaps I was wrong.....infact....I was wrong but I will have to review my responses to such situations in future.
  • I will start reviewing goals properly next week when I have printed off my sheets and stuff. The email I sent myself at work today didn't work, so I will resend right now!!!

All in all, not bad!!!
