I am less hungry, bloated and sluggish (though have been suffering from bad hair for two days running- don't suppose any eating plan could rectify that though!) since starting up for real yesterday. Today I ate:
Breakfast:
Food doctor wheat free museli, goat's yoghurt, mixed berries
Snack:
Handful of goji berries
Lunch:
Chicken, quinoa, pesto, spinach, cherry tomato and mange tout salad
Snack:
Apple
Dinner:
Medium baked potato, home made harissa chick pea and veg thingy
Peaches and goat's yog
Pretty good huh?
I found Paul Mort's shopping post rather inspirational and added a variety of nuts to my shopping order. Have also resolved to continue ultra pure eating next week and get it even more finely tuned by eating lots of le puy lentils and stuff.
I was disappointed to learn from Paul that honey is banned based on the fact that it is almost pure sugar. Bugger!!!! Never mind....I can always puree some summer fruits and might even sneak in some Splenda......or will I get caught by the spectre of Paul.
I am a bit nervous about eating nuts (he he).......perhaps because I have always viewed them as a fattening item and because so many popular eating plans place a high 'points' premium on them. I will, however jump and build my wings on the way down as Dax Moy recommends.
What of the magic 100 then????
Well, I put in what I would say was a very good performance at work today and put lots of energy into my teaching. I did start off with a 5 shot Americano....coffee is the only thing I have not managed to quit. I haven't even added it to my list and am confused about what I should do. I just love it. 100 days without the stuff would kill me.........
Anyway, I did eat as planned, though I didn't walk at lunchtime. I did walk to and from the lecture and also accidentally to a further station than usual as mine was flooded. Long working hours and the need to sort shopping/washing/review goals and blog have perhaps conspired against me. Or am I making excuses??!! I will do an hour's bellydancing and also try one of Paul's shorter work outs tomorrow evening
That's all for now.
